How we publish
Clear sources. Visible review status. Honest limits.
This policy explains how Bedroom Science prepares new educational articles and how readers can assess their review status. Our focus is adult relationships, intimacy, sexual wellbeing, sleep and related everyday questions.
Sources and evidence
For new articles, the publishing workflow discovers an angle, retrieves readable reference pages and drafts from the material available for that run. Its current source policy restricts selection to approved health and medical-information domains. Public health guidance and original research are preferred where suitable.
A source link lets you examine the original context; it does not mean that the source organisation endorses Bedroom Science. Research and guidance have limits, and findings for a group may not apply to an individual. We aim to distinguish reported evidence from interpretation and practical suggestions.
AI assistance and automatic checks
Our workflow uses AI to help discover subjects, draft articles and run automated editorial and source checks. Some featured images are AI-generated editorial illustrations. Illustrations are not evidence of a clinical result, a real patient encounter or first-hand testing.
New articles may publish automatically after these checks, without a person approving each article first. Automated checks can miss errors. They are separate from human medical review and do not establish that an article is clinically verified.
Understanding medical review labels
- Medical review pending: clinician approval has not been recorded for the article. It may still be publicly available.
- A completed human review label: a human review has been recorded in the publishing system. Read the notice and any accompanying reviewer details; an AI check does not qualify.
- Changes after review: changes to an article can reset its review status so the notice reflects the updated text.
Check the notice inside the article you are reading. A team byline identifies the publication account responsible for posting; it does not, by itself, establish a clinician’s credentials or approval.
Earlier articles and updates
Our archive includes articles prepared before the current workflow. An article’s presence in the archive is not proof that it has completed the current checks or a human clinical review. Review labels remain visible while that work is pending.
An original publication date shows when a piece first appeared. A change to a date or a technical update does not, by itself, mean the underlying medical evidence has been reassessed.
Accuracy, language and boundaries
We aim for accessible, respectful adult education, with clear distinctions between common experiences, uncertainty and questions for professional care. Articles should avoid invented experts, fabricated quotations, guarantees of a cure and unsupported claims of first-hand experience. Personal diagnoses and treatment decisions belong with qualified healthcare professionals.
Corrections and reader feedback
If a statement appears inaccurate, misleading or out of date, email consult@bedroomscience.com with the article URL, the relevant passage and supporting information. We assess reports and can correct, clarify, update or withdraw material. A corrected article may return to pending review.
Commercial relationships
Any future sponsored article or affiliate relationship should be identified where it appears so readers can understand the commercial context. A cited source, external link or product mention alone should not be read as a professional recommendation.
